This "course" must be completed by EMT-Intermediates and Paramedics affiliated with Virginia Beach EMS.  In order to successfully complete the course the provider will have to review the TEMS Protocol training videos, access and review the updated (2016/12th Ed.) TEMS protocols and complete a quiz with a 100%.

NOTE:  Pop-ups must be enabled to complete this course.

Providers may not utilize the updated protocols until the quiz is successfully completed.

ALS students and interns must complete the ALS release training within the first 30 days of the start of their ALS precepting.  The ALS release training is designed to ensure all Virginia Beach ALS providers have received training on the ALS equipment our department uses.

This course provides a basic introduction to Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension and includes reference documents related to PAH medications.  The presentation and information was provided by Robyn Kunkel, PA-C, Pulmonary Hypertension Clinical Coordinator at Sentara Heart Hospital.

This course will provide training on using the Quicktrach II to perform a surgical cricothyrotomy.  A presentation will give an introduction and instructions for using the Quicktrach II.  Video demonstrations along with a reference sheet are included in this course.
